Plantation Foods started its activities in 1986 as a trading company dedicated to interational trade in raw materials for the food and beverage industries. Then, as now the main business was in fruit juices and concentrates, but other activities include a strong position in cocoa products, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, cereals, additives and some specialist machinery related to the fruit juice industry. Of special importance in recent years has been an extending range of products in organic form.
The company has shown almost constant growth in it´s close to twenty years of existence with sales both on comisión and own account, currently at over 20 million euros. The head office is in Toledo, 70 kilometres south of Madrid and has a motivated staff of ten.
The greater part of our volume is in imports into the Spanish market, but we are also exporters. In this area the company operates in two ways: as exclusive agent for Mostos Internacionales, the Spanish leader in grape juice products and technology and as a sourcing agent for semi-processed fruits and vegetables based on twenty years of extensive contact with the Spanish industry.
